There are various monitors on the market with different features that can make finding the right one difficult. Some forms of central blood pressure measurement can be non-invasive, utilizing a specialized device for arterial pressure waveform analysis with a cuff, and some are invasive, utilizing catheter-based pressure transducers. A monitor with central measurement can help in identifying any heart failure, vascular disease, or risk of stroke and is more accurate than peripheral measurement. <strong>Peripheral<\/strong> measurement is taken solely at the limbs, farther away from the aorta.
